Improved Production Queensland will be running round 4 of the championship at Lakeside Raceway this weekend.

The Lakeside Classic will have 26 cars entered featuring over 2 litre championship leader Justin Wade, Jason Grimmond, David Homer and Dave Waldon.

“It’s an exciting time of the year for the Queensland Improved Production series heading back to Lakeside for the Touring Car Classic”, IPRA QLD President Drew Lawrence said.

“This year is particularly good given we have been granted a larger grid capacity and will put 26 quality cars on the grid.”

“Our club members love racing at Lakeside and the circuit typically produces good racing. Hopefully we will see a large crowd turn up to see some great racing under some beautiful QLD winter weather.”

It’s a close championship in the Carselling.com.au under 2 litre category with only 50 points separating the top 4 drivers. D’Arcy Wade will be looking to keep Waldon, Mavin and Hartnett behind him this weekend and try to extend his lead.

The over 2 litre MotorsportZone.com championship leader Justin Wade will be out to prove a point this weekend after a horror run at Morgan Park just over 6 weeks ago. The confidence has heightened for Jason Grimmond and Karl Begg after coming off their first wins in IPRA last round and they’ll be trying to keep the hard charging Wade behind them.

The Lakeside Classic will be held this weekend July 16th – 17th and tickets can be purchased at the gate. Weekend passes are also available.
