After a delayed start to 2017, Improved Production Queensland have round 1 of the state championship series this weekend at Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick.

The entry list is already set to be one of the biggest fields across the weekend with over 30 cars entered to contest the round.

Current Queensland champion Jason Grimmond, will be back to defend his crown for 2017 and is excited to be running with the number 1.

“This year will be tough, being the current champion the pressure to perform will be high”, an excited Grimmond said.

“Round 1 should be a cracker with about 32 entrants, some old faces and quick cars”.

“I’m so excited to be back in the car. I have a few suspension changes, Motec, and some special loving from Phil Laird. I can’t wait”.

Improved Production Queensland has a long standing member returning to competition this weekend with Adam Uebergang heading out for a run with the club.

Uebergang’s last outing was at Lakeside Raceway 4 years ago and he is eager to get back out.

“I’m extremely excited to be getting back behind the wheel with the IP crew this weekend”, he said.

“Hopefully we finish in the top 5, somewhere there.”

You can catch all the action from Improved Production at Morgan Park Raceway this weekend May 20th – 21st.
